This travel was so special for me. It was magic.

RECOMENDATION TO CHOOSE DATES: If you want to go in summer, I recommend you to go after "Sant Joan" (24th of June). Is cheaper and there are fewer people!

We went by flight from 28th of June and we paid for return ticket around 70€/each. We were super relaxed during that dates.

So here we go with the interesting part: Cities, villages and beaches that I highlight for you from my trip!

CITIES AND VILLAGES

MAÓ

The capital of Menorca. Is located in the east zone from the island.

The most important part is port. Is the biggest of the Occidental Mediterranean. (around 5 km)

ANGLÈSCASTELLÀTXECDuring the night, is one of the most popular cities to enjoy the night. You can find a huge of types of Restaurants, Bars and artisanal shops (very cute ones!).

Recommendation: Asorbos tapas & drinks, perfect for go to drink some beers in the port. They have a lot of artisanal beers, Sidra (which I love it) and the customer service is excellent. Quality-Price 10!

Near to Mao there is a place that is a MUST from your trip: the Isla del Rey

With a tour guide (with boat included) you could visit the Hospital Foundation Isla del Rey that is located in the island

Is a Naval Hospital that it has been built in 1711 century to take care of the injured soldiers from England.

Nowadays is a place created from locals people to conserve it and promoted with the goal to be remembered. I completely recommend this visit to know better the island.

ES CASTELL

Situated near to Maó. There you will find a small port, that it conserves all the cutest part of the past. The oldest caves now are bars and restaurants.

There, you also will find some stands where you could buy some artisan souvenir.

ES MERCADAL

My must from Es Mercadal is Monte Toro, from there the views are amazing! You can see all the island because is the tallest mountain from Menorca.

They say that the name of the mountain comes from a legend which said that on the mountain there was a bull that prevented people from approaching the top. Will it be true?

BEACHES

BINIDALÍ BEACH

Beach near to Sant Climent. One of the best places to do Snorkel.

CALESCOVES

Place where I couldn't say anything when I saw it. Nature and wild together. From there, you can see the caves that were from the hippies (also you can access them by foot).

To arrive at the beach you have to walk a long time because is a bit far from the parking, but really, once you will be there, you will fall in love and not regret it.

TIP: If you go early in the morning, you will not find a lot of people so you will enjoy it more.

CAP DE FAVÀRITX

I always wanted to see a lighthouse and have a nice memory of it. And this one I loved it! But I also would like to tell you that there are a lot around the island.
